THOMPSON: EXUMA NEEDS MORE ROOMS

NASSAU, Bahamas — Exuma has a bed stock capacity problem in comparison to the number of airline seats coming into the island, and Deputy Director General of the Ministry of Tourism (MOT) Ellison “Tommy” Thompson has called for an expansion of rooms on Exuma.

Thompson, who was speaking at The Counselors Ltd.’s Exuma Business Outlook, said people these days are looking for all-inclusive resorts, and he suggested that hoteliers look at developing “rooms people actually feel they want to buy”.

Exuma’s anchor hotel property, Sandals Emerald Bay, is an all-inclusive resort. It is also where the Exuma Business Outlook was held. https://thenassauguardian.com/2018/10/22/thompson-exuma-needs-more-rooms/
