FREEPORT, Grand Bahama, July 27, 2021 – Three City Services Ltd. employees lost their lives in a tragic accident today while “preparing scrap metal for export from Grand Bahama.”
Confirming this in a press statement, City Services Ltd., said one of those killed was a Bahamian who was a long-time employee of the company and other two were foreign nationals.
“The company is contacting next of kin and helping police with their investigations,” the press statement said. “City Services directors were at the scene immediately after being notified and worked to ensure that the relevant authorities had full accessibility to the accident scene and access to our staff.”
The statement added: “The owners, directors and staff of City Services send their prayers and heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and are devastated about today’s events.”
