MONTEGO BAY, Jamaica, May 20, 2024 — The 42nd Caribbean Travel Marketplace gets under way today with the Caribbean Travel Forum. Attendees will have the opportunity to gain invaluable knowledge from distinguished speakers across the public and private sector, including travel writer, author and advisor on destination development Doug Lansky, who will deliver the keynote address.

Caribbean Travel Marketplace, taking place in Montego Bay, Jamaica, is the premier event for connecting suppliers of Caribbean travel products and services with global buyers.

The event promises to be a dynamic platform for networking, collaboration and highlighting the diverse offerings of the Caribbean hospitality and tourism sector.

This year, CHTA launches the inaugural Marketplace Responsible Tourism Day set to take place on Thursday. Groundbreaking activities, ranging from agricultural linkages to community tourism, are dedicated to promoting sustainable tourism development with a special focus on giving back to local communities in Jamaica.

According to CHTA President Nicola Madden-Greig: “Our communities and people are our secret sauce to success in the Caribbean. Being able to contribute to their growth and development in a meaningful way is paramount. We strongly encourage all delegates to sign up for this initiative and truly make a difference.”
