U.S. EMBASSY NASSAU CONTINUES VACCINE DISTRIBUTION MISSION

These specialized coolers were purchased by U.S. Northern Command for this mission to make sure the vaccines doses going to the family islands are transported safely and kept viable.

NASSAU, Bahamas,  – Declaring that “more on the way,” the U.S. Embassy Nassau posted the following on its Facebook page on Tuesday, April 27, with two photos:

“Today is day two of a five-day mission to distribute COVID-19 vaccine doses to eight different Family Islands, ensuring Bahamians across the archipelago have access to the vaccine.

These specialized coolers were purchased by U.S. Northern Command for this mission. They contributed $40,000 to make sure the vaccines doses going to the family islands are transported safely and kept viable.

Thanks to everyone who came together for this mission, including the Rhode Island National Guardy, the National COVID-19 Vaccination Consultative Committee, The Bahamas Ministry of Health, and U.S. Northern Command, as well as all partners on the ground.
