The University of The Bahamas’ Acting President Jayne Hodder and UB Board Members paid a courtesy call on Minister of Education and Technical and Vocational Training, the Hon. Glenys Hanna Martin, and members of the MOETVT executive team during a meeting at the Ministry on Friday, August 18, 2023.

The Minister conveyed the importance of the University of The Bahamas, as more and more Bahamian students continue to express their interest in furthering their tertiary education at home.

Topics such as the continued targeting of learning loss and the development of a student’s mind were discussed during the meeting in an effort to better prepare students for entry into the University of The Bahamas.

Minister Hanna Martin also thanked University officials for their assistance with facilitating the students of T.A. Thompson Junior High School during two years of structural issues and crucial repairs at the school’s campus.
