WASHINGTON, D.C., November 9, 2023 – A delegation from the Financial Intelligence Unit and Financial Crimes Unit of the Royal Bahamas Police Force today paid a courtesy call on His Excellency Wendall K. Jones, Bahamas Ambassador to the United States, at The Bahamas Embassy,  600 New Hampshire Avenue, N.W.

The Bahamian delegation was in the Washington area participating in the Intelligence Support Systems (ISS) 2023 Training Conference and Expo  at the Sheraton Pentagon City Hotel in Arlington, Virginia, November 7 — 9

The conference is a gathering of professionals from law enforcement, homeland security, public safety, and defense sectors who utilize advanced investigative tools to combat organized crime, financial crime, drug trafficking, and illegal arms trade. It is part of the ISS World Programs, aiming to enhance the capabilities of these sectors in their fight against various criminal activities.

ISS World North America is the world’s largest gathering of North American Law Enforcement, Homeland Security, Defense, Public Safety and other members of the Government Intelligence Community as well as Telecom Operators responsible for cyber threat intelligence gathering, DarkNet monitoring, lawful interception, and cybercrime investigations, according to information posted on its website.

ISS World Programs present the methodologies and tools for Law Enforcement, Public Safety and Government Intelligence Communities in the fight against drug trafficking, cyber money laundering, human trafficking, terrorism, and other criminal activities conducted over today’s Telecommunications networks, the Internet, and Social Networks, the website notes.
