WORLD BANK LAW, JUSTICE AND DEVELOPMENT WEEK FOCUSES ON “RIGHTS, TECHNOLOGY AND DEVELOPMENT”

WASHINGTON, D.C., November 8, 2019 – The Hon. Carl W. Bethel, Attorney General of The Bahamas, was among the participants in the annual Law, Justice and Development Week conference held at The World Bank, 1818 H Street, N.W., Washington, D.C., November 4 – 7, 2019.

Organized by The World Bank Group, the four-day business conference, according to the World Bank’s website, focused “on the overarching theme Rights, Technology and Development” and analyzed “what the impact of technological innovations will have from a legal, ethical and developmental perspective.”

“Each year, the Law, Justice and Development (LJD) week brings together World Bank Group staff, senior officials from other international financial institutions, international development practitioners, government officials, lawyers, judges, scholars and representatives from civil society,” the website notes.
