A PRAISEWORTHY HURRICANE RELIEF COMMITMENT

Dr. Catherine Adderley and Darren Rollins distributing water in Grand Bahama on Football Sunday.

CONGRATULATIONS CATHERINE: I had to share this post by Dr. Catherine Adderley, Director of Dentistry at Grand Bahama Health Services, in Freeport, Grand Bahama. She is a football fanatic and a die-hard fan of the New York Giants, so for her to be out on a “Football Sunday” distributing hurricane relief supplies in Grand Bahama speaks volumes for the kind of commitment some Grand Bahamians have made to assisting fellow residents of the island who did not fare as well as they did when Hurricane  Dorian caused massive destruction on Grand Bahama and Abaco.

Catherine posted this photo with the following caption: “My friend Darren Rollins was able to get some water thanks to NEMA for us to distribute. But it is also Football Sunday and 8 QB Daniel Jones first day out so I couldn’t resist. Thanks to all who helped today and thanks to my New York Giants for some much-needed post-hurricane entertainment and relaxation 💙. — with Darren Rollins at Grand Bahama Island.”

Of course, I sure that she probably got home in time to watch some, if not all, of the Giants game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, as their new quarterback Daniel Jones started his first game since being named last week to replace Eli Manning at quarterback. His debut was super successful as he led the Giants to their first victory of the season, 32 – 31.

I am a dyed-in-the-wool Washington Redskins fan, and for several years Catherine and I have had a verbal agreement to pull for each other’s team when they are not playing each other. CONGRATULTIONS CATHERINE.
