WASHINGTON, D.C., January 8, 2021 — Clearly, the campaign for the next general election in The Bahamas, which by law must be held before May 10, 2022, has been unofficially launched; hence, the emphasis being placed by the governing Free National Movement (FNM) on completing projects in the Family Islands, given strong indications — based on a preponderance of posts in Social Media — that many current FNM House of Assembly members in New Providence will have a difficult time being re-elected.

Additionally, there is a developing trend, again based on posts in Social Media, that there will be far more independent candidates than usual running in the next election. Consequently, I have developed a promotional package for prospective candidates in the next general election – irrespective of political affiliation – offering the public relations services of THE BROWN AGENCY LLC and my online publication BAHAMAS CHRONICLE to assist in promoting political campaigns.

BAHAMAS CHRONICLE was launched after my diplomatic tenure as Press, Cultural Affairs and Information Manager at the Embassy of The Bahamas in Washington, D.C. ended after four-plus years following the change of government in The Bahamas in May of 2017. It has a huge following in The Bahamas as well as among Bahamians and nationals of other CARICOM-member countries in the diaspora across the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom.

Our rates are very affordable, and I really think that BAHAMAS CHRONICLE can be an extremely effective medium in promoting the political messages and activities of prospective candidates in the next general election in a professional manner that would preclude it from being labelled “just another propaganda machine.” Indeed, maintaining BAHAMAS CHRONICLE’S respect journalistically as an unbiased news medium is very important to me.
