BAHAMAS CONFIRMS FIRST CASE COVID-19

NASSAU, Bahamas, March 15, 2020 (BIS)  — At a press conference held at the Ministry of Health on Sunday, March 15, Acting Minister of Health the Hon. Jeffrey Lloyd announced the first confirmed case of COVID-19 in The Bahamas. The patient is a 61-year-old resident of New Providence with no relevant travel history; therefore, source of exposure is unknown. She and her family have been told of the diagnosis and she is in a designated isolation area of the Princess Margaret Hospital.
