BAHAMIAN DIPLOMATS AT BIE GENERAL ASSEMBLY

PARIS, France — His Excellency Ellison Greenslade, QPM, Bahamas High Commissioner to the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland, is pictured with Mr. Marché Mackey, Third Secretary at The Bahamas High Commission, at the 164th General Assembly of the Bureau International Expositions at the OECD in Paris on Friday, November 23, 2018. Third Secretary Mackey, who is also Vice Consul, is the second highest ranking diplomat at The Bahamas High Commission in London. In addition to his diplomatic assignment, he also heads the Consular Section. As the head of the Bahamas delegation at the BIE General Assembly, High Commissioner Greenslade participated in the voting to elect the host country of World Expo 2025. After hearing final presentations from three cities — Baku (Azerbaijan), Osaka (Japan) and Ekaterinburg (Russia) — the 170 Member States of the BIE elected Osaka, Japan, to host World Expo 2025 between May 3 and November 3, under the theme, “Designing Future Society for Our Lives.”
