NASSAU, Bahamas – The Office of the Prime Minister posted a collection of photos on Facebook on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, and we absolutely had to share some of them with readers of BAHAMAS CHRONICLE, which has a huge following among the Bahamian diaspora across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and, of course, The Bahamas and the wider Caribbean. The photos were posted with the following narrative:

“In a heartfelt address, the Prime Minister commended the 2023 graduating class of C.R. Walker Senior High School for their initiative in gifting a remarkable monument honoring the extraordinary legacy of Dr. Claudius Roland Walker.

Recognizing Dr. Walker’s immense contributions as the first Black Bahamian medical doctor and his tireless efforts in championing social change. The unveiling of the bust served as a lasting symbol of Dr. Walker’s unwavering dedication to the advancement of The Bahamas and a powerful reminder of the significant impact that one individual can have.”
