CONSUL GENERAL NEILLY VISITS SAINT JOHN’S UNIVERSITY AND THE COLLEGE OF SAINT BENEDICT

COLLEGEVILLE, Minnesota – Mr. Theo Neilly, Bahamas Consul General to the United States, embarked on the final leg of the Campus Outreach Tour on the campuses of Saint John’s University (SJU) and the College of Saint Benedict (CSB) on May 6th and 7th May, 2019, according to a report published on The Bahamas Consular Annex Facebook page.

“The Campus Outreach Tour is a multifaceted initiative created to engage Bahamian students and educators within the 24-state jurisdiction and to strengthen relationships with universities to create diverse educational opportunities for Bahamians at home and abroad,” the article noted.

It added: “During the visit of the Consul General, the long-established relationship between The Bahamas and SJU and CSB was evident. These historical ties between The Bahamas and both academic institutions were prominently featured in the most recent addition of SJU’s alumni magazine, which highlighted notable Bahamians such as Terrance Bastian, Auditor General, and Pierre Dupuch, Former Member of Parliament,

“Currently, SJU has five Bahamian students in the Senate. This includes Bahamians Owyn Ferguson ’21, President of the Student Body at SJU, and Kistacia Thompson, Student Body President for CSB.”
