THE GRAND BAHAMA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE HAS EXCELLENT LEADERSHIP

FREEPORT, Grand Bahama, May 8, 2019  — Mercynth Ferguson, Executive Director of the Grand Bahama Chamber Of Commerce (GBCC), just posted these on Facebook today with the following caption:  “Networking at Invest Grand Bahama Workshop earlier today. Awesome presentation by Aquila partner.”

I am reposting this to publicly commend Mrs. Ferguson for the excellent job she has done over the many years that she has been in charge of the day-to-day administration of the Chamber. I had first-hand knowledge of her professionalism and competence during my tenure as Editor of the Freeport News from 2003 to 2010 and during our interaction professionally on other occasions when I lived in Freeport for 12 years before relocating to Washington, D.C.

Established in 1981, The Grand Bahama Chamber of Commerce, according to its mission statement, was established “to provide the network, to sustain, promote and support business development to encourage sustainable growth and expansion in the Grand Bahama economy and within a healthy and clean community environment”.

The current GBCC President is Gregory Laroda, Senior Director of Government Relations with Buckeye Bahamas.
