Following the election of its new Board of Directors, the Grand Bahama Chamber of Commerce paid a courtesy call on the executive team of the Grand Bahama Port Authority at its headquarters.
The meeting was very transparent and encouraging, with discussions focused on strengthening the longstanding relationship between the two organizations and advancing initiatives that support the growth and success of Grand Bahama’s businesses.
The Grand Bahama Port Authority reaffirmed its commitment to more regular meetings and to actively work alongside the Chamber to address the unified cry of the Chamber’s members regarding the “ease of doing business” on the island. In turn, the Chamber committed to sharing in their efforts to educate the licensees on the benefits, services, and opportunities available through the Hawksbill Creek Agreement, while also helping businesses in the outlying settlements become more aware of the incentives and support programs available for them as well.
The GBCC encourages its members to visit the websites in the comments to stay up to date with the progress of the investments on island and to familiarize themselves with the HCA.
