FREEPORT, GRAND BAHAMA – Tickets are now on sale for TASTE of Grand Bahama Island: A Luxury Culinary Experience for the Senses, a one-night event bringing together food, wine and spirits, art, music and destination experiences on November 14, 2026, at the Xquisite Catamaran Center.
Hosted by the Grand Bahama Island Promotion Board (GBIPB), TASTE will offer an intimate, elevated celebration of Grand Bahama’s culinary and hospitality community.

Marking GBIRF’s fifth year, TASTE introduces a luxury culinary experience inspired by the five senses and guided by the concept “Taste. See. Hear. Feel. Discover.” Through five curated elements, pour, taste, create, connect and the afterglow, guests will be immersed in Grand Bahama’s distinctive flavours, artistry, music and hospitality.
More than a culinary event, TASTE will invite guests to experience Grand Bahama through the senses while celebrating the people, places and flavours that make the island distinctive.

“Grand Bahama already has so many of the elements that make for an exceptional destination experience, from our restaurants and chefs to our natural environment, culture and hospitality,” said Ian Rolle, Chairman of the Grand Bahama Island Promotion Board and President of the Grand Bahama Port Authority. “TASTE gives us an opportunity to bring those elements together in one setting and showcase them in a way that feels distinctly Grand Bahamian, while creating another experience for residents and visitors to enjoy.”
The TASTE experience will bring guests together for an evening of curated culinary pairings, wine and spirits, interactive mixology, live art, music and cultural expression. Food will sit at the heart of the evening, complemented by beverage experiences highlighting craft, creativity and premium spirits, while art and entertainment will connect the culinary experience with Grand Bahama’s broader creative identity.

Guests will also enjoy a welcome drink, live entertainment from a band and DJ, three interactive mixology sessions with Marv “Mr. Mix” Cunningham, live painting with Benjamin Ferguson Jr., and fire dancers.
For Meshell Britton, GBIPB Representative and Grand Bahama Island Restaurant Fest Committee Member, the event is an opportunity to create an experience that feels both elevated and authentic to the destination.

“We want guests to walk away feeling that they have experienced something that could only have happened in Grand Bahama,” Britton said. “From the setting and the food to the people they meet and the experiences they discover throughout the evening, every element of TASTE is being thoughtfully brought together to create something intimate, engaging and memorable.”
The culinary experience will also showcase the talent and creativity of the team at The Galley Bar & Restaurant.

“Grand Bahama has always had incredible flavor, from our fishermen and farmers to the cooks who’ve kept our traditions alive in kitchens across this island, and this is our chance to showcase what we can do. This TASTE event lets us put what we can do on a bigger stage and invite visitors and locals alike to experience Grand Bahama through food. We’re grateful to the GBIPB for championing our culinary community, and we’re ready to bring the flavor,” said Harold Pinder, Executive Chef of The Galley Bar & Restaurant.
TASTE comes at a time of renewed tourism activity, investment and destination development on Grand Bahama. As the island continues to evolve, GBIPB sees an opportunity to ensure that its restaurants, chefs, mixologists, farmers, fishermen, creatives and hospitality professionals remain an important part of the destination story.

The event also builds on four years of the Grand Bahama Island Restaurant Fest (GBIRF), which has provided a platform to celebrate the island’s culinary community while encouraging residents and visitors to discover more of Grand Bahama through food.
The annual Grand Bahama Island Restaurant Fest will return in 2027 with an expanded vision, new partnerships and additional opportunities designed to further elevate the festival and strengthen its long-term impact on Grand Bahama’s tourism and culinary sectors.

“TASTE gives us an opportunity to continue building on what we have created through Restaurant Fest while introducing something different,” Britton said. “It brings together the culinary, tourism, business and creative communities in an intimate setting and gives guests a glimpse of the type of experiences and collaborations we want to continue developing as we look ahead to Restaurant Fest 2027.”
Through TASTE, GBIPB also aims to highlight the role that culinary and cultural experiences can play in how Grand Bahama is experienced and shared as a destination. By placing local talent, hospitality and the island’s natural setting at the centre of the evening, the event will offer another way to discover what Grand Bahama has to offer beyond its traditional tourism experiences.

“TASTE is both a celebration of where Grand Bahama is today and part of a larger conversation about where we are going as a destination,” Rolle said. “As new developments and opportunities come online, it is important that our local culinary and hospitality community remains part of that growth. Experiences like this give us another platform to showcase their talent and strengthen the connections that help move the destination forward.”
Tickets for the TASTE experience are now available for $200.00 and can be purchased at http://bit.ly/tastegbi.
