GREENSLADE PARTICIPATING IN BIE GENERAL ASSEMBLY

PARIS, France — His Excellency Ellison Greenslade, QPM, Bahamas High Commissioner to The United Kingdom and Northern Ireland, is participating in the164th General Assembly of the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) in Paris, France. BIE is “an intergovernmental organization created to supervise international exhibitions (also known as expos or world expos) falling under the jurisdiction of the Convention Relating to International Exhibitions,” according to the BIE website.  At today’s session (Friday, November 23) the majority of the Member States “elected Japan as host country of World Expo 2025 in Osaka, under the theme Designing Future Society for Our Lives  between 3 May and 3 November 2025,” the website notes.  “The election of Japan as the host country of World Expo 2025 marks the start of an exciting journey for Osaka”, BIE Secretary General Vicente G. Loscertales declared.
