JOSHUA ROLLE IS PRIMARY SCHOOLS DIVISION WINNER OF TWCF ESSAY COMPETITION

NASSAU, Bahamas — Joshua Rolle, a 5th grade student of Summit Academy, was the Primary School Winner of the Templeton World Laws of Life Essay Competition for The Bahamas. The annual awards ceremony was held on Thursday, June 6, 2019, at the British Colonial Hilton Hotel in downtown Nassau. Since 2009, the Bahamas Laws of Life Essay Contest has been funded annually by the Templeton World Charity Foundation (TWCF) for school pupils in grades 5 – 12, and for college students age 25 and under. The competition is organized and coordinated by the Department of Education’s Writing Unit team, which works in collaboration with the Templeton World Charity Foundation’s Committee. Joshua is the son of Central Bank Governor John Rolle, pictured with his son at Thursday’s awards ceremony, and Dr. Nicola Virgill-Rolle, Director of the National Insurance Board (NIB).
