MINISTER OF TRANSPORT AND LOCAL GOVERNMENT RENWARD WELLS IS SPECIAL GUEST SPEAKER AT BAHAMAS INDEPENDENCE CELEBRATIONS IN LONDON

LONDON, England — The Hon. Renward Wells, Minister of Transport and Local Government, was the special guest speaker at the reception held at The Bahamas High Commission, 10 Chesterfield Street, Mayfair, on Wednesday, July 10, as one of the events celebrating the 46th anniversary of The Bahamas’ attainment of independence from Great Britain.

His Excellency Ellison Greenslade, QPM, Bahamas High Commissioner to the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland, also addressed the cross-section of Bahamians in the United Kingdom diaspora, diplomats and friends of The Bahamas who attended the reception. They were treated to a spectacular performance by the National Youth Choir.

Commenting on the reception on her Facebook page, the High Commissioner’s wife, Mrs. Kimberly Greenslade, Senior Manager of The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism in London, noted that it was an “honour to have the Minister of Transport, the Hon. Renward Wells, as our guest speaker at our Independence celebrations.”
