OAS BAHAMAS OFFICE COUNTRY REPRESENTATIVE VISITS SAN PEDRO INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL

NASSAU, Bahamas — Ms. Phyllis Baron, the OAS Bahamas Office Country Representative, recently met with the staff and students of the San Pedro International School. Ms. Baron held discussions with the school’s management team and provided them with an overview of the Organization of the American States and its operations in The Bahamas. She also got the opportunity to meet with each grade at the school and was able to observe how the teachers integrated the students into the Spanish language throughout the school’s curricula. San Pedro International is a non-sectarian private school in Nassau, Bahamas, which uses Spanish as its language of instruction and like the OAS believes that this is pertinent for preparing the region’s children for the global market.
