WASHINGTON, D.C., November 28, 2023 – The Office of the Prime Minister in Nassau, Bahamas, today posted a collection of photos on Facebook and I absolutely had to share some of them with readers of my online publication, BAHAMAS CHRONICLE, which has a huge following among the Bahamian diaspora across the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom as well as in The Bahamas and the wider Caribbean.

Noting that Eneas Street in Bains and Grants Town “is filled with rich Bahamian history and important community-building lessons,” the narrative accompanying the photos added, “Prime Minister Hon. Philip Davis joined Wayde Watson, the MP for Bains and Grants Town, at the Eneas Street Festival, where neighbours came together to reflect on their past and celebrate one another.”

In sharing his admiration for the community, The Prime Minister said, “We should all strive for an Eneas Street, a Bain Town, and a Bahamas where no one walks alone, no one stands alone, and no one struggles alone.”

He also reaffirmed his personal commitment “to helping communities like these with programmes such as the National School Breakfast Programme, the Micro, Small, and Medium Business Grants, National Youth Guard, and Urban Renewal.”
