“TASTE OF CARIBBEAN” AT BLADENSBURG WATERFRONT PARK

BLADENSBURG, Maryland — The Caribbean Council of Prince George’s County and the Coalition of Multicultural Communities announce the launch of the 9th Annual Caribbean Heritage Festival (CHF) set for Saturday June 2, 2018, 12 noon to 7 p.m., at the historic Bladensburg waterfront Park in Bladensburg, MD.

Passage of the U.S. legislation in 2006 designating June as Caribbean American Heritage Month has been quite timely for the Caribbean and American communities.

“The Festival —  a collection of performing artists, a platform for authentic “Caribbean Traditions” and the “Taste of the Caribbean” flavors — will fill your heart and soul with links to our diverse culture,” organizers noted in a press release.  “Bring your lawn chairs and join us for what promises to be a celebration of Caribbean Americans in Prince George’s County through cultural performances in dance and music, international cuisine and craft vendors.”

This festival is made possible by sponsorships from Maryland National Capital Park and Planning Commission, , WIAMMA , The CONSYS Group and Caribbean Cargo, making your shipping needs to the Caribbean Easy.
