WTO ENDORSEMENT FROM SOMEONE WITH IMPECCABLE CREDENTIALS

WASHINGTON, D.C., November 22, 2018 — Barbara Wilson, who is a nurse by profession but understands the news business exceptionally well and would have been a great journalist if she had embarked on journalism as a career, on a daily basis posts a compilation of news from Bahamian newspapers that I look forward to on a daily basis as a Bahamian living in the Washington, D.C. area diaspora. She posted this WTO endorsement by Rhoda M. Jackson that I really had to share for the benefit of those naysayers who are questioning whether joining the WTO is in the best interest of The Bahamas. Ms. Jackson’s credentials in commenting on this issue is impeccable. She is a career employee of the Bahamas Ministry of Foreign Affairs, whose most recent foreign assignment was as Bahamas Permanent Representative to the United Nations Office in Brussels, which “maintains, nurtures and develops the partnership between the UN and the institutions of the European Union.”
