GBPA ANNOUNCES SPONSORSHIP OF LOCAL PARTICIPANTS IN THE 2024 CARIFTA GAMES

FREEPORT, Grand Bahama, March 23, 2024 — The Grand Bahama Port Authority (GBPA) yesterday announced its sponsorship of local participants in the 2024 CARIFTA Games during a press conference held at GBPA headquarters, in which team leaders and athletes from Grand Bahama’s CARIFTA Aquatics and Track and Field Teams participated.

“For over two decades, GBPA has remained steadfast in our commitment to providing financial support for our local athletes,” the GBPA said in a statement on its Facebook page. “It’s been our mission to empower them with the resources they need to seize every opportunity to shine on the international stage.”

The GBPA added, “This year, our track and field athletes will be heading to Grenada for intense competition, while our swim team will make waves in Nassau for the Aquatics Championships. To all our incredible athletes: as you gear up for your respective competitions, know that you carry the pride and support of Grand Bahama with you. We believe in you and wish you all the best as you showcase your talents and chase your dreams.”
