GBPA CONTINUES TO INVEST IN THE CREATIVE POTENTIAL OF THE GRAND BAHAMA COMMUNITY

FREEPORT, GRAND BAHAMA, November 6, 2026 — Creativity, innovation, and sustainability came together as participants of the Grand Bahama Port Authority’s Crafter’s Academy recently completed another inspiring two-day workshop, CANtastic, transforming discarded aluminium cans into beautiful, handcrafted jewellery.

With every piece designed, participants demonstrated the resourcefulness, imagination, and unique artistic expression that reflect the spirit of Bahamian creativity.

Through initiatives like Crafter’s Academy, GBPA continues to invest in the creative potential of our community, providing local artisans and aspiring entrepreneurs with opportunities to develop their talents, refine their techniques, and turn their passion into marketable products.

From discarded cans to one-of-a-kind creations, CANtastic was a powerful reminder that opportunity can begin with something as simple as seeing things differently.

Stay tuned for more exciting Crafter’s Academy experiences as we continue turning imagination into inspiration and creativity into opportunity!
