NEW YORK, N.Y. — Senator Ronald Duncombe and a group of young men who are participants in his NexGen Young Men Mentorship Program paid a courtesy call on the Hon. Leroy F. Major, Bahamas Consul General to New York, on Monday, March 25, 2024

Also in the visiting group were Senator Darron Pickstock, Bishop Lester Cox and Linlin (Carter) Cao, Vice President of China Construction.

The NexGen Young Men Mentorship Program is designed for young men aged 14-18, selected by the Member of Parliament within various constituencies in Nassau as well as the Family Islands.

When the program was launched in July of 2023, Senator Duncombe  said, “At NexGen, we believe in holistic development. Our program encompasses mentorship, leadership skills, life skills training, global networking opportunities, computer certification programs, and more. We aim to equip our mentees with the tools, skills, and experiences they need to excel in all aspects of their lives.”

He added, “As we look to the future, we remain committed to our mission of empowering the next generation of leaders. We are excited about the possibilities that lie ahead and are dedicated to continuing our work, one young man at a time.”
